I have been asked tonight to talk about a Christian vision of
\nbeauty, and I am first struck by the fact that this conversation would
\nbe so rare. There are altogether too few opportunities for Christians
\nto ponder some of the biggest questions of life. We tend to focus on
\nthe questions of urgency and the questions of immediate interest. That
\nis not to say that such questions are improper, but it is to say that
\nChristian thought can sometimes fall out of balance. One of the
\nrealities we face is that in a conversation like this, we are not
