Matteo Becherucci and Francesco Alfonsetti have both been with the Lungarno Collection’s Portrait Firenze since its opening in 2014. Their roles are those of modern and dynamic butlers, and their daily mission is to create the most tailor-made experiences for guests and personal connections with clients. So, when a guest asked for a recommended jogging path in Florence to train for the New York City Marathon, Becherucci and Alfonsetti went above and beyond, and trained for the marathon with him.
“The guest was really astonished because they’ve never experienced this at any other property before ours,” Alfonsetti told Lonely Planet. “We went above and beyond the standard client concierge relationship. When it comes to customer service, creating truly loyal relationships is very important to us.”
